Located in the beautiful mediterranean region south of France, the School of Journalism and Communication (EJCAM) is one of the many components of Aix-Marseille University. The school was founded in 1982 and has been offering first-class training in media and communication studies. Equipped with modern state-of-the-art video, audio production and editing facilities (radio and TV production studios, multimedia and computer rooms), the school welcomes more than 500 students each year in its graduate programs.

Recognised and accredited by the Common Convention for Journalists in France, its MA in Journalism is accessible only through entrance exam (along with the other 13 accredited schools of journalism in France). Keen to respond to corporate needs in terms of communication and technological advancement, the school also offers special tracks devoted to the new challenges raised by communication in the digital era. After graduating from the L3 Info/Com program, EJCAM offers a series of innovative professional MA courses. The masters program is focused on contemporary media and devices as well as communication needs of corporate bodies.

In addition, the EJCAM is fully committed to offering continuous education to all, regardless of age and occupation. To this end, we offer several university diplomas and certificate programs. These cover careers in Radio, Television, Press Journalism, and in Press and Institutional Magazines. These courses prepare future journalists for careers in print journalism, audiovisual journalism, organisation communication for the private and public sectors as well as in digital and web communication. Shorter trainings courses award certificates in journalism writing, magazine production, photojournalism, press writing and new media journalism.

As a university component, EJCAM is dedicated to excellence in research in the fields of journalism, information, communication and media studies. Its Faculty members combine high quality university training with professional imperatives, an asset for students who will be required to develop critical thinking and analytical faculties in order to innovate and adjust to the job market in a world that is constantly changing.
