Objectives
The University Graduate Diploma in Sports Journalism is provided by EJCAM in partnership with Aix-Marseille University's Faculty of Sports Sciences, from October to July. The aim of the diploma is to provide scientific knowledge and skills to current and future sports journalism professionals.
PROGRAM
Lectures (given online by lecturers from the Faculty of Sports Science):- History of sport and its institutions (12h)
- Knowledge of sport institutions (12h)
- Economics and financing of sport (12h)
- The body of the athlete in action: physiological bases (12h)
- The body of the athlete in action: biomechanical bases (12h)
- The body of the athlete in action: neuro and psychological bases (12h)
Practical courses (given face-to-face by sports journalists at EJCAM):
- Live and live tools for the web (24 hours)
- Writing sports stories for the written press (12h)
- Economy and financing of sport (12h)
- The athlete's body in action: physiological bases (12h)
- The athlete's body in action: biomechanical bases (12h)
- The athlete's body in action: neuro and psychological bases (12h)
ORGANISATION
Theoretical teaching is organised as follows:
October to March: 3 hours of video lectures, once a week
April to July: 1 week/month of face-to-face classes at EJCAMNo compulsory internship

Student profile and career opportunities
This diploma is aimed for journalists wishing to specialise, top-level sportsmen and women who are retraining, students wishing to specialise in sports journalism, or people wishing to retrain in this field. It's one of the only professionalising diplomas in France. The program includes university courses, round-table discussions with professionals and practical journalism courses. Journalists such as Alexandre Pasteur (FTV), Mathieu Grégoire (L'Equipe) and Radio France will be teaching in a city full of fervor and popular enthusiasm for its flagship club, and in the year in which France is organising an event of planetary scope, the Olympic Games.
