EJCAM Conference: From OSINT to digital sovereignty

04 novembre 2026
Allan Deneuville

On 23 November at 1.30 pm, the EJCAM, part of the INSPE in Aix-en-Provence, will welcome Allan Deneuville, author of *OSINT, Investigations and Democracy* and *Copy-Paste: The Photographic Turning Point in Digital Writing*. His lecture, ‘From OSINT to Digital Sovereignty: Investigating within a Dependent Information Space’, will take open-source investigations and contemporary transformations in investigative journalism as its starting point, before broadening the focus to the digital infrastructures on which these practices depend, and to the issues of sovereignty they raise.

Allan Deneuville is a senior lecturer in Information and Communication Sciences at the University of Bordeaux Montaigne, and a researcher at the MICA laboratory and the GEODE centre (Geopolitics of the Datasphere). His research focuses on open-source intelligence (OSINT), disinformation, digital sovereignty and the geopolitical implications of information technologies. His work focuses in particular on Brazil, as part of the Franco-Brazilian ANR-CNPq STRONG research project, which he coordinates on the French side. He is the author of several publications on these issues.
