On Friday, September 11, the TF1 Group presented the 2026 Patrick Bourrat Award, which is given annually to recognise the talent and dedication of young journalists within its newsrooms. In the LCI Reporter-Writer category, the award went to Charles Flageul, a former student in the Master’s program in Media Professions and International Issues, offered in partnership between Sciences Po Aix and EJCAM. He subsequently continued his studies at Sciences Po Paris.
Charles Flageul gained experience in newsrooms in London and Brussels, then at a production company, before joining Fanny Production, the TF1/LCI correspondent agency in Marseille. This summer, he completed a two-month fixed-term contract at the LCI newsroom.
Open to final-year students at journalism schools recognised by the profession, this competition honored six winners this summer for the quality of their work within the newsrooms of TF1, LCI, and TF1 INFO. As a reward, each winner is offered a ten-month fixed-term contract within the group’s newsrooms.
