Jacques Goddet Prize competition : Clothilde Jupon among the finalists

Clothilde Jupon, student in Master's degree in Journalism at EJCAM, won the second place of the Jacques Goddet scholarship, print press and web section, of La chaîne L'Equipe.

Her article "Rugby players on Tramadol will soon be considered as doped" gives a voice to the players of this contact sport where the use of painkillers is very frequent but where it will soon be necessary to do without. In 2024, Tramadol will be considered as a doping agent and banned from all sports competitions. Big stakes for athletes and staff, a League doctor, several researchers from the French anti-doping agency and anti-doping trainers from Provale tell her the reality behind the systematic use of Tramadol.

Clothilde Jupon: " This year, the theme of the Team's competition was "Cheater(s)". I chose to look at doping drugs and rugby because it is a sport I know well. Throughout the day, I learned a lot from my interlocutors so I thought the paper would be interesting, without thinking I would go to the final (especially since I clearly gave the worst sports culture quiz!). But in the end, I finished second with very rewarding feedback from the editors and jury members. I really encourage students in future classes to try their luck at this experience! "
