From April 28 to 30, 2025, the Palais du Pharo in Marseille hosted the Mediterranean Journalism Conference 2025, three days of debates, conferences, workshops and meetings on the major media issues facing the Mediterranean. French, Arabic and English intersected in a rich dialogue, serving a common objective: better understanding for better information.

Some of the highlights of the program:
- Research & Journalism: what impact do economic, social and political changes have on media independence in Mediterranean countries?
- Syria: a time for hope?
- African radio: listening to their audiences
- Artificial intelligence and journalism: a shared challenge on both sides of the Mediterranean
- Financing independent media in a world in crisis
- Charter signed for responsible editorial treatment of migrations
- Media and information literacy: ways forward?

50 young journalists in training, from Lebanon 🇱🇧 (Antonine University), Morocco 🇲🇦 (ISIC), Jordan 🇯🇴 (JMI) and France 🇫🇷 (EPJT & EJCAM), covered the event through articles, radio and TV reports.
