Roundtable Discussion, September 17, 2026: Journalism and “Social Openness”

On September 17, EJCAM will host a roundtable discussion on the issue of “social openness” in journalism


The event will feature:
Chantal Jaquet, philosopher (University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne)
Adrien Naselli, journalist (Libération)
Paul Pasquali, sociologist (CNRS, CESSP)
Faïza Zerouala, journalist (Mediapart)
 

The discussion will be moderated by Magali Nonjon, professor of political science (Sciences Po Aix/Mesopolhis), and Claire Tomasella, associate professor of information and communication sciences (Aix-Marseille University/IMSIC)
 

This roundtable kicks off a series of conferences on the theme “Media and Social Classes,” organized in partnership with the Mesopolhis research lab. It is part of the JOUVERT research program (“A New Field of Possibilities? Study of Pathways to Social and Cultural Inclusion in Journalism”), a recipient of the Amidex Pépinière d’Excellence 2025 award, led by Claire Tomasella.
