Finale Open data university pour des étudiants de l'EJCAM

A group of students from the Master 2nd year Information professions program at Sciences Po Aix and EJCAM have been selected to take part in the national finals of the Open Data University, to be held in Paris on June 8 and 9.
The selection rewards work carried out as part of the "Data journalism and mediation" course, supervised by Samuel Goëta. The article, co-authored by Lou Gardère, Jefferson Verraux, Auriane N'Goala, Raphaël Casteu and Guillaume Fournier, drew the jury's attention for the relevance of its analysis and the quality of its data processing.
Entitled "Déserts médicaux : en ville aussi les difficultés existent" ("Medical deserts: difficulties also exist in town"), this project highlights an often overlooked reality: while rural areas are at the heart of public policies, a large proportion of people living in medical desert situations actually reside in urban areas.
Run by the Latitudes association and supported by Datactivist for over three years, the Open Data University brings together students from all over France to work on projects involving the analysis and enhancement of public data.
