  • Objectives

This Master's degree in Journalism is one of the 14 courses recognized by the profession (Commission Paritaire Nationale de l'Emploi des Journalistes [CPNEJ]). Since September 2021, a work-study program has been added to this program. This Master in Journalism trains journalists capable of working in all types of news media. The objective of the teaching team? To train journalists who are able to work in the field, who can immediately join a newsroom, but who also have a solid general culture and a decisive capacity for analysis.

The EJCAM's Master in Journalism is in tune with the changes taking place in this profession and provides training not only in traditional media but also in different formats and new writing techniques.

The program is divided into two parts. The first year is devoted to the first theoretical teachings and the basic techniques of the profession. Reporting, interviewing, photojournalism and specialized press... Students will master a large number of journalistic practices throughout their studies. Consultants allow students to learn about radio, print media and television. At the same time, lectures are dedicated to knowledge of the journalism environment and institutions.

In the second year, students are encouraged to specialize in radio or television while perfecting their skills in web and print journalism. Emphasis is placed on new digital writing. The second semester is particularly focused on the professionalization of students.

  • Which students? Which jobs?

The training program includes lectures and theoretical classes as well as practical work. Students are trained to design written, audio, video or web productions but also to develop their knowledge of the media and their environment. This program prepares students for jobs such as :
