Objectives
The Influential Communication and Advocacy option will be delivered in 2024, subject to approval by Aix-Marseille University.
The Influence Communication and Advocacy option focuses primarily on influence communication and strategic support for public affairs departments, particularly in organisations in charge of public interest missions. It is supported by a group of professionals active in European communication, territorial communication, political communication and advocacy for public-interest missions. This option is proposed as an initial course in the first year (Master 1) and as a work-study course in the second year (Master 2).

Student profile
The course combines lectures and theory with practical work. It demands a high level of general knowledge and a mastery of written and oral expression. A good level of English is also a prerequisite for international careers. In addition, career opportunities in the field of public affairs and advocacy call for a high degree of autonomy on the part of the students recruited, and an ability to project themselves into complex professional environments.
Graduates will be able to:
- master the techniques and principles needed to design public, electoral and/or advocacy communication campaigns
- prescribe and produce strategic recommendations for public and political decision-makers
- manage and use the following decision-making tools: information watch, influence strategy, drafting of alert and positioning notes, controversy analysis, strategic recommendations, media and web opinion analysis documents, advocacy techniques.

Career opportunities
Targeted positions include project managers (public and private executive offices); communications directors (political, institutional, influence and crisis communications); consultants and study managers (strategy, communications, consultation, media relations); public affairs and relations managers.

Admission requirements
The Master's degree Information professions is open to all students with a BAC+3 (Baccalaureate - High School Diploma + 3 years of university studies), after examination of their application.
- Holders of a Bachelor's degree in Information-Communication from EJCAM, graduates of the 3rd year of the IEP of Aix-en-Provence
- Holders of a Bachelor's degree in Arts, Letters, Languages, Human and Social Sciences, Political Science, Law, Economics and Management
- Holders of a Bachelor's degree in another discipline or foreign diplomas (subject to validation by the teaching staff and the Teaching Committee).
Direct access to M2 is possible in a work-study program, subject to study of application.
