  • Objectives

This option will be provided in 2024, subject to approval by Aix-Marseille University.

This Master's degree program in information and communication sciences offers an original approach, centered on knowledge and understanding of the worlds of media and information. In addition to the fundamental courses common to all the Masters' programs (all courses are delivered in french), this MA degree allows students to:

    • understand the editorial strategies and business models of the media, which are evolving in a digital environment,
    • understand the contemporary issues in journalism and public communication,
    • master the fundamentals of organisational communication, both theoretically and practically.
  • Student profile

Although the program includes lectures and theoretical classes, as well as practical works with an operational focus, it is mainly theoretical and is intended for students with a good general culture and a strong affinity for the human and social sciences.

Graduates are expected to be multi-skilled and versatile, with the ability to manage and develop expertise in one or more of the above-mentioned fields. The multi-disciplinary approach, both theoretical and practical, will enable graduates to adapt to the many changes they will encounter in the future in a highly evolving sector of professional activity - information, media and communication.

  • Career opportunities

This course prepares students for positions involving expertise and analysis, with a high level of responsibility (study manager, consultant, research engineer, researcher, or project manager in information-communication and media).

  • Admission requirements

The Information and Media option is open to all students with a BAC+3 (Baccalaureate - High School Diploma + 3 years of university studies), after examination of their application. Direct entry into the 2nd year of the Master's program is possible for holders of a BAC+4 (Baccalaureate - High School Diploma + 4 years of university studies), on the basis of an application file.

    • Holders of a Bachelor's degree in Information-Communication
